Nu Design is a design-led outdoor space studio. We create considered, cohesive garden and exterior concepts that feel aligned with the architecture of the home.

We develop layout plans, spatial flow, planting palettes, lighting intent and material direction. Where required, we also supply and install finishes and planting, or collaborate with your appointed contractor to bring the design to life.

We are not a maintenance company. We focus on design.

Each project is tailored, but generally includes:

For selected projects, we also oversee sourcing and installation.

Our ideal project budgets typically range between R100,000 and R300,000.

We begin with a thorough briefing process. We listen carefully. Many clients tell us, “You really listened.” Once direction is clear, we handle the thinking and refinement.

You’ll approve key stages, but you won’t need to manage the process.

We don’t impose a signature aesthetic.

We design in response to the architecture and the client. That may include:

• Soft, layered planting schemes

• Formal layouts with loosened planting

• Minimal, architectural landscapes

Some projects are full redesigns. Others involve restructuring and refining what’s already there. Often, small spatial shifts create dramatic improvements.

We primarily work in the Garden Route and surrounding regions, including George and nearby coastal towns.
